What non-AI (rule-based NLP) features does MAXQDA offer (for research that cannot use AI to assist)? Is auto-coding possible without AI?

You are welcome. Yes, the features you are writing don't use AI Assist. If you don't enable AI Assist for your license, you won't see the AI Assist functions in MAXQDA. And even if you have AI Assist activated you will always be notified, that you are starting to use an AI function where data is sent to our service provider securely.

Thanks! Very helpful! Do all the other features also not use AI I presume? Like code co-occurrences / matrices / word cloud/trees?

Hello Maie Khalil,

you may use MAXQDA without AI features.

When you use MAXQDA as stand-alone version, you can use the auto-coding for which you can create a dictionary to organize the wordings.
