Where do I find my project file?

Modified on Thu, 6 Aug at 11:57 AM

MAXQDA saves your project file on your computer.

You can find the location by right-clicking on your project on the start screen.

Your File Explorer will then open, where you will find the mqda file for your project.

If your project files are not displayed under "Recently opened Projects", you can also search for them manually. To do so, click on "Open" and navigate to the folder your project files are saved in.

By default, your MAXQDA projects are saved locally in the "Documents" file of your device. There, you will find a folder with the name "MAXQDA” which includes all of your project files.

Alternatively, you can enter the filename extension “.mqda” into your files explorer's search bar in order to find your projects.
